Dried Cordyceps militaris — Fruiting Bodies — small-batch cultivated from fresh fruiting bodies. Low-temperature dried at 40–50°C to preserve natural colour, structure, and composition. 100% fruiting body — no wild caterpillar substrate, no mycelium on grain, no fillers, no additives.
Cordyceps militaris is a bright orange-red fungus, cultivated from the fruiting body rather than the parasitic wild caterpillar variety (Ophiocordyceps sinensis). It is one of the most extensively researched fungi in modern mycology, with a long documented history in traditional Chinese and Tibetan herbal practice. The dried fruiting bodies contain cordycepin (3'-deoxyadenosine) and adenosine — the primary bioactive nucleosides associated with this species — as well as polysaccharides and beta-glucans.
Why fruiting body matters: Many Cordyceps products on the market use mycelium grown on grain substrate, which contains significant amounts of grain starch rather than fungal material. Our product is 100% fruiting body — no grain, no filler, just Cordyceps.
Product details:
- 100% Cordyceps militaris fruiting body — no mycelium on grain, no fillers, no binders
- Small-batch cultivated from fresh fruiting bodies
- Low-temperature dried at 40–50°C
- Contains cordycepin, adenosine, polysaccharides and beta-glucans
- Lab-tested batch
- Available in 100g, 500g and 1kg
How to use dried Cordyceps:
- Tea / decoction — simmer 5–10g in 500ml of water for 20–30 minutes on low heat. Strain and drink. The tea is golden with a mild, slightly sweet, earthy character. Add honey or ginger to taste.
- Powder blend — grind dried Cordyceps to a fine powder and add to coffee, smoothies, or warm broths. 1–3g per serving.
- Cooking — whole or broken fruiting bodies can be simmered directly into soups, broths, and stews. They soften with cooking and are edible.
- Tincture base — used as a base for dual-extraction tinctures targeting both cordycepin (alcohol-soluble) and polysaccharides (water-soluble).
Storage: Keep sealed in a cool, dry place away from humidity and direct sunlight. Shelf-stable for up to 24 months when stored correctly.
